Welcoming Rev. Dr. Peter-Michael Preble as Our Interim Minister
North Community Church is delighted to welcome the Rev. Dr. Peter-Michael Preble as our Interim Minister, beginning this August.
Peter brings more than two decades of pastoral ministry and a lifetime of service to the Church and the wider community. He has walked alongside congregations and families through seasons of joy and sorrow, and his ministry is grounded in a simple conviction: helping people discover the sacred in ordinary life.
Beyond the parish, Peter serves as a hospice chaplain, certified grief coach, end-of-life doula, fire chaplain, and veteran — experiences that have shaped a ministry centered on compassion and faithful presence. His preaching draws deeply from Scripture and is enriched by Celtic spirituality’s appreciation for God’s presence in creation and the ordinary rhythms of daily life. As he likes to say, “My home is Christianity, but I have many cottages.”
When he’s not preaching or serving as a chaplain, you’ll find Peter reading history, tending his garden, or sharing a good conversation over coffee.
Peter is looking forward to getting to know this congregation, worshiping alongside you, and discerning together where God is leading North Community Church in the months ahead.
Please join us in giving Peter a warm North Community welcome!
