Rev. Andrew Ponder Williams became our Pastor at North Community Church on October 1, 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to social justice.

He has served congregations in various regions, from the California Coast to the Southwest, and now in New England. As a member of the United Church of Christ’s Board of Directors, Andrew is committed to advocating for social change, with a track record of active involvement on Capitol Hill and at the United Nations.

His academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Rockhurst University, Jesuit, and a Graduate Certificate in Religion, Activism, and Social Justice from Claremont School of Theology. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry at Boston University School of Theology.

Andrew and his husband, Ashton, reside in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Andrew, a vegetarian of 20 years, enjoys exercise, travel, and dining out. His dedication to social justice and his commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of congregants make him an inspiring presence at North Community Church.
