Youth Group Clothing Drive for CityReach Boston

Accepting gently used clothing donations through Feb 1 @Gilmore Hall

The North Community Church Youth Group is getting ready to participate in CityReach at Boston Common Cathedral at the end of February. CityReach is a powerful overnight urban ministry where youth and adults worship, learn, and serve alongside people who have experienced homelessness in Boston.

As part of this experience, our Youth Group has been asked to bring gently used clothing to share at a large clothing distribution for guests who are unhoused or living in unstable housing situations. We’re inviting the whole congregation to help us respond with generosity and love.

From now through Sunday, February 1, we are collecting clothing donations that our youth will personally bring to CityReach.

What We’re Collecting

Please donate gently used, clean clothing that you would feel good about giving to a neighbor, such as:

  • Everyday clothing for adults and teens
  • Comfortable, practical items suitable for New England weather
  • Shoes in wearable condition and other basics

(Please avoid items that are torn, overly worn, or stained.)

Where to Drop Off Donations

Bring your donations to Gilmore Hall at North Community Church and place them in the labeled collection area. All items must be received by Sunday, February 1 so we can sort and prepare them before the trip.

Why This Matters

Your donations will be given directly to people experiencing homelessness through the CityReach clothing drive. This is a tangible way for our congregation to stand with our neighbors, offering warmth, dignity, and care—while supporting our youth as they learn and serve.
