June 2025 Mission Trip — Give Kids the World (Kissimmee, Florida)

In June 2025, North Community Church Youth Group traveled to Kissimmee, Florida for a mission trip that combined service, teamwork, and a lot of heart. Our youth volunteered and served together while building friendships and practicing what we talk about all year at NCC: faith that shows up in real life. This trip is one example of how NCC youth grow through experiences that stretch them—in the best way.

Where We Served: Give Kids the World

Give Kids the World Village is a nonprofit that supports families with children facing critical illnesses by providing a place for joy, rest, and memorable experiences. Our youth were grateful to spend time serving in ways that helped support the village and the families it welcomes.

What Our Youth Did

Our mission trip wasn’t about taking pictures—it was about showing up. Youth participated in hands-on service tasks, worked as a team, and learned what it means to help behind the scenes.

Highlights included:

  • Volunteering with daily operations and service needs
  • Working together with positive attitudes and flexibility
  • Supporting the mission through practical help
  • Building friendships and learning through shared responsibility

What We Learned (and What We’re Proud Of)

Trips like this have a way of changing you—not with dramatic speeches, but through small moments: helping without being asked, encouraging someone who’s tired, staying kind when plans shift, and realizing you can do hard things as part of a team.

We’re proud of our youth for showing:
